There are certain events in history that people remember exactly where they were when it happen. September 11th was one such occasion. The aftermath was something that opened my young eyes to a bigger world that I had not ever encountered. Today marks ten years since this tragedy, but it seems as though it was just a short time ago.
Our country united that day, stood strong against adversity, against tragedy, and again terrorism. It was the day each of us found a stronger sense of what it means to be American. It was a day we all turned to those near us to offer a hand of compassion and forget ourselves in the effort to help others.
It was an event that made me proud to be an American. I will always remember...
