LIttle Black Bag and Ipsy Glam Bag July 2013

Little Black Bag and Glam Bag are two monthly subscription services that are all about cute, girly and fun things! 

Glam Bag by Ipsy is a $10 a month and you get a bag and  4-5 beauty products every month delivered to your door! I been a member since they started and have always loved at least half the products in my bag which are well over the $10 price point! :)

With Little Black Bag you pick an item you like, and the stylists (based on a style quiz you take) picks 1-3 items to also go in your bag.  Then you can trade items with other people till you get items you are happy with and then they ship it to you.  You can also opt out for that month free of charge if you cancel that months bag before your trading date ends.  I think they now offer different price ranges for their bags.  Meaning they have a less expensive bag to a more expensive bag.  But a lot of their stuff are designer brands and the have everything from lipstick to scarves! SO FUN!

 I just love trying out new products! And I always look forward to my Glam Bag when it comes in the mail! It's so inexpensive and you get to try so many new things!!

I think I got a great deal on my Little Black bag items. I often skip it but I really needed a new straightener and when I saw this deal I jumped and I'm so glad that I did!

Sephora mini Haul & Ipsy Glam Bag

 I have a little haul for you guys, and I wanted to show you what came in my Ipsy Glam Bag this month! I have been super sick and have been unable to make videos. So I made a quick stop at Sephora actually looking for the new Joise Maran Cheek Geleé.  But mine didn't have them yet.... or may ever have them :( But I picked up a couple other things on the way

I picked up these Sephora Waterproof liners in Taupe and Turquoise.  OH MY GOSH! I am in love with these! I've used them as bases (with a primer under) and as liners and they work so well! The really really enhance the staying power of eye makeup. I have oily lids so I need a primer with these, but usually even with a primer an cream product will be creased in a matter of hours! But not these!!! They are beautiful and stay put all day long!

I also picked up so Joise Maran Argan oil.  I LOOVE this stuff I use it every single day and I have oily skin and this is wonderful! It makes your skin feel so hydrated and beautiful!

I also picked up a La Crème Lip Cream from Too Faced in the color Spice Spice Baby! OH MY GOSH! It is such a great everyday color I love it!! :) It's right between a deep mauve and a bright coral! I'm so in love! 

My Ipsy Glam bag came this month! I love the little bag it came in soooo cute! This wasn't my favorite bag but still well work the $10.  

NYX Cream blush in Boho Chic

I love the NYX cream blush forumlation... but this color isn't my favorite it is pink and has a silver sheen which can emphasize pores, but as long as I keep the blush away from the area right next to my nose it does okay!

J Cats  Sparkling Cream Palette 

This palette was okay. I'm not a huge glitter cream shadow person. But I really like these as liners! They add a little sparkle and stay really nicely!

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil

I AM IN LOVE with this prouduct! Seriously! I prefer this over Benefit Eye Bright any day! It's got a beautiful golden sheen that up looks amazing when highlighting.  And it's not crazy sparkly either so it's just so natural and beautiful! :)

Kiss Nail Dress Fashion

Influenster sent me these I got a great pattern!!! LOOOVE these!!!!  They run between $6-$8 and can be found at most drugstores as well as places like Ulta and Sephora. The say they last up to 10 days.

 My started peeling after 7, but I'm extremely hard on my hands and nails!  Also, I feel like if I had painted a clear coat over them they would stay longer than 10 days!  These were also way nice because they FIT MY NAILS!  Seriously, I have small nails... and usually I have to fuss and cut blah blah blah blah! They had such a wide variety of sizes in one package, and I had two full sets as well!! LOVE THAT!

I can't tell you how many people complimented my nails while I had these on!! I was a little unsure I've never worn print on my nails!!  So many people asked me where I got them what they were and totally loved them!! What do you think?

Dating Drama: Over-eager Boys

       So this is more of a personal post but here we go!!! So recently I joined an online dating site! Crazy I know... But I work a lot, and I'm in school when I'm not working and don't meet a lot of people so I figured it would be a good way to meet new people and get myself out there.
       So it's been about a month and I just have some hilarious stories to go with this!! In general, I've haven't met any men that are way weird... other than a couple of men over 50 but never talked to them...because that's just weird.  I really like the site, because you can see the people who are looking at your profile so if you are interested you can always contact them.  Now to preface this, recently I have become extremely picky when it comes to dating people.  I met the most wonderful man ever when I was a Sophomore in high school, that I absolutely love, and it seems that no one ever measures up to him...but recent events have put me in a position were I am forced to try... so here I am... trying... so lets begin.
        Met this guy online seemed cool lets call him Bob...We started texting, and then like a hour before he asked if I wanted to meet up and go grab breakfast! Since it was a quick turnover I didn't have a long time to talk myself out of it and since it was the first time I've met up it was good for me so I agreed.  Then immediately called my brother.  He turned on a tracker to track my phone and I sent him pictures of the guy so that if anything happened....my brother could hunt him down and take him out :) hahahahha The first date was fun, no big deal lasted like an a couple hours and he had to leave for work which was cool... Then four hours later.... this is 11:30pm he texts me asking if I wanted to watch a movie.  Keep in mind he lives about 40 mins from me! I explain that the theatre isn't playing this late! He suggests that we watch a movie at my house or his.  First off... I'm not going to let someone I've met once come over to my house at midnight to watch a movie!!! SO I just tell him no and he insists that I have to watch a movie with him the following Tuesday which I agree to.
       Tuesday rolls around we are going to see The Lorax seemed harmless enough. This is our SECOND date... First I get lost finding the theatre... because he wasn't clear on which theatre it was.. then he decides to see a later showing... which was whatever, but just showed a total lack of planning on his part and that seriously just drives me bonkers!!! SO needless to say I had to try really hard to be in a good mood when I arrived! So we watch the movie it was very cute, we ended up being the only two in the entire theatre which was kind of cool that's never happened to me! So the movie is way cute it ends and I get up to leave but he doesn't.... so I sit back down and we talk for probably forty minuets.  Then the sound turns off and so I was like oh there is a perfect sue to leave... nope... so then the lights turn off... and I'm like alright... I'm done with this so then he says "here let me show you something" turns and decides to kiss me!!!!!! I'm not kidding... and not a "I love you grandma" kiss either! I was like seriously?!?! It was insane... at the end of the date I made it pretty clear that I was not very happy about being ambushed, he ended up not being very happy but we both agreed to start with a clean slate... Haven't seen him since then but plan to go dancing to give him another chance... though... it's pretty clear what he's after in my mind.
       Anyway, a little bit different post than usual for me but still "girl talk" related! :) Let me know what you think about these kind of posts.  More? Let me know what you think.

I made these for my dance students for the holiday!! :) They were sooo easy!! Used the Silhouette machine to cut the wrappers and shamrock toppers and then just put it all together! :)

Swarovski Angelic Pendant

I saw this and just thought it was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I know, I know I love that word... but seriously! I love that it's petite, simply and just classic. I'm seriously considering buying it but I want to stalk Etsy first  :P I just can't decide if I like the gold or the silver better what do you guys think?

 They are both sooooo pretty!! Love it!! I wear both gold and silver jewelry though I need to beef up my gold accessory collection! :P Let me know what you think!! :P

Update/ Kony 2012

So, I've decided my blog needs a little TLC! I want to focus more doing posts and blogging than I have in the passed! SO I'm going to plan on blogging at least twice before Sunday :)

I wanted to post about this! I feel it's important to be informed about issue and charities. Links below are for both sides of the coin on this issue and there are lots lots more out there! This is just amazing and deserves a lot of support! The truth is Invisible Children are the biggest and most influential organization supporting this issue... and if you are going to help make a difference it's going to be through this organization hope you guys enjoy!!

 I Absolutely love these! They have a great consistency, and staying power.  They last longer on me than Mac's Paint Pots do (with primer of course).  They are so pigmented and blend like a dream and are really inexpensive drugstore products.  For 5g of products Mac's Paint pots are $17.50, while these which are 4g are only $5.99 and to me, work better! They don't have a huge array of colors yet... Five more neutral colors and five more loud and fun colors.  Maybe they will release more but for now I'm really loving these products!
They are very long wearing as  I said longer than paint pots not 24 hours for me, but still really good (and really who needs their eye shadow to last 24 hours?)

NOTD/ Favorite Nail Combo

This has hands down been my absolute FAVORITE combination recently!!! I absolutely love it! It's Essie's "Shine of the Times" over a black polish, the one I'm wearing happens to be "Licorice." The sparkly "Shine of the Times" really looks like nothing special but layered over black it's just way cool looking! It reflects green, orange, red, and a little pink.   I just love all the different colors it reflects it's simply beautiful! I can't tell you how many people have stopped me and asked me about my nails when I wear it! It's definitely been my favorite nail combo this month and last!

 All you need is the pans which you can get at Coastal Scents, rubbing alcohol, something to mix it with, paper towels, a quarter, and the pigment (all easy to get or things you have around the house).

1.     Add the alcohol to the pigments in the pan 
2.     Mix
3.     Let stand for two hours
4.     Cover the pan and mixed pigment with a paper towel and place the quarter on top
5.      Push the quarter down to compact the pigment even more
6.     Let the rest of the alcohol evaporate and then you have your pressed pigment!

Shoe Haul!

Okay so I went a little crazy buying shoes recently! :P I really wanted to get rid of some of my shoes and get some new ones!

I needed some black flats and I really love the patent leather on these and they are CRAZY comfortable! The brand is Me too bought at Nordstrom. 

I love these I was kinda iffy about them at first they are by the brand Borne and they are EXTREMELY comfortable as well.  The berry color is a great pop of color with neutral outfits that need a little more to them! Bought at Nordstrom.

I LOVE these they look great with skinny jeans for an edgy look but look really classic under jeans. Bought at Famous Footwear

I  love these flat boots too! They don't look like much on but wow when you put them on these are so cute! You can fold the top down or leave it straight and again ultra comfy!  Bought at Famous Footwear

Okay.... I'm in love... these shoes were made for me!! They are so cute! They are by Steve Madden and they are a great alternative to gold or platinum flats! However, I do have to return them and get a whole size bigger because they run so small but I just LLOOVE these can can't wait to wear them! Bought at Nordstom
